1. Overview
CO2Reports ("we," "our," or "us") offers subscription-based services for tracking and reporting CO₂ emissions. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding refunds for subscription fees. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to this refund policy.
2. Subscription Refunds
Free Trial Period:
We do not currently offer a free trial period for paid plans. However, our Free plan is available at no cost with basic features, allowing you to evaluate the Service before upgrading.
Monthly Subscriptions:
Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable once charged. Since subscriptions provide immediate access to all features for the billing period, refunds are not available for partial months or unused portions of your subscription.
Cancellation:
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to all paid features until the end of the billing period for which you have already paid. No refunds will be issued for the remaining days of your billing period after cancellation.
3. Special Circumstances
We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise. In the following situations, we may consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis:
- Billing Errors: If you were charged incorrectly due to a technical error on our part, we will issue a full refund.
- Unauthorized Charges: If your account was charged without your authorization, contact us immediately and we will investigate and process a refund if verified.
- Service Unavailability: If our Service is unavailable for an extended period (more than 48 consecutive hours) due to issues on our end, we may offer a partial refund or account credit.
- Duplicate Charges: If you were charged multiple times for the same billing period, we will refund the duplicate charges.

4. Processing Refunds
If a refund is approved, it will be processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days. The refund amount will appear on your statement within one to two billing cycles, depending on your financial institution.
5. Downgrades
If you downgrade from a paid plan to the Free plan, the change will take effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds will be issued for the remaining portion of your paid subscription period. After downgrading, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period.
6. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback through your bank or credit card company without first contacting us to resolve the issue, your account may be suspended or terminated. We encourage you to contact us first so we can resolve any billing issues directly.
